Ethical Sourcing

At Talismania, provenance isn't a marketing line. It's something we can trace, and often something we've seen with our own eyes.

The stones. Our Montana sapphires are mined at Rock Creek and along the Missouri River. Many of our stones are traceable to the mine, and some to the individual cutter. This isn't abstract to us: we've sat in the home of one of our stone purveyors to choose them by hand. Not many jewelers can say that. We're proud that we can, and we're building toward that level of specificity across every stone we set.

The standard. Our primary manufacturing partner is certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council, the industry's leading standard for ethical and responsible practice from mine to finished piece, so the pieces they craft for us are produced to that standard. Our one-of-a-kind and custom work is made by small U.S. studios we've chosen and know directly. As we grow, we keep raising our own bar for traceability across everything we make.

Where pieces are made. Our primary manufacturing partner is New York–based and RJC-certified, with production in Thailand. One-of-a-kind and custom pieces are made by two small U.S. studios. Our chains are designed with a U.S. partner and sourced from Italy.

What we work in. We build in solid 14K gold. Our stones include Montana sapphires, RJC-aligned created rubies, lab-grown diamonds in our Wildfire line, and natural diamonds throughout, all held to the same standard. We're steadily narrowing our materials to the ones that best reflect this commitment.

Giving back. We're a proud member of 1% for the Planet, committing a portion of every sale to protecting the wild places that inspire this work.
